Your vision
Today, they pursue several goals: "We want to express the quintessence and richness of our terroir in our champagnes. To create more authentic wines, produced with respect for our environment, biodiversity, and our soils." They are brimming with ideas and drive to maintain the balance between the winemaker and the natural environment around him and to promote sustainable practices.
Their goal is clear: the pursuit of uniqueness. To achieve this, they rely on what defines their work: the quality of their soils and grapes.
The roots of the family
Henri Hervieux and Juliette Dumez – the great-grandparents
Henri Hervieux, her great-grandfather, came from Pussay in Essonne and went to the front during the First World War (1914-1918). In Sacy, Champagne, he met Juliette Dumez, a young woman from a long-established winemaking family, who passed on her passion for wine to him. They married in 1920 and together founded the Hervieux-Dumez Champagne house.

André and Simone Hervieux – the grandparents
André Hervieux, Henri's son, joined the family business in the early 1950s and naturally chose the vineyard path. Dynamic and visionary, he continued to develop the winery and invest in what was dear to his heart: the terroir. Under the leadership of André and Simone, the Champagne house experienced renewed prosperity and expansive growth.
Bruno and Laurent Hervieux – the fathers
In the 1970s and 1980s, Bruno and Laurent, two wine lovers and brothers, joined the family business. They proudly continued the legacy and became pillars of the company. Their complementary personalities complemented each other perfectly, giving Hervieux-Dumez Champagnes the ideal balance that continues to define the house's style and success to this day.
